Spring HVAC Maintenance: What We’ll Do for You
Our team will thoroughly inspect and maintain your HVAC system to ensure it runs efficiently all spring and summer. Here's a detailed list of the tasks we’ll complete during your spring HVAC maintenance service:
Power Down & Safety Check
- Power Off: We’ll begin by turning off the power to your HVAC system to ensure safety during the maintenance process.
Thermostat Inspection & Calibration
- Test Thermostat Functionality: We’ll verify that your thermostat is properly set to "cool" mode and check for accurate temperature readings.
- Calibrate Thermostat: If necessary, we’ll calibrate or adjust your thermostat to ensure it’s functioning accurately and efficiently.
Air Filter Replacement or Cleaning
- Replace Filters: If your air filters are clogged or dirty, we’ll replace them with new filters.
- Clean Reusable Filters: For reusable filters, we’ll clean them to ensure optimal airflow and system performance.
Duct Inspection & Airflow Check
- Inspect Ductwork: We’ll inspect the ductwork for any visible leaks, gaps, or blockages at equipment connections that could affect airflow.
- Clear Debris: Ask us about our complete Duct Cleaning Service! At an additional cost, we’ll remove dust, dirt, and debris from the ducts to improve air quality and system efficiency.
Outdoor Condenser Unit Service
- Clear Debris Around Unit: We’ll remove leaves, dirt, and debris from around your outdoor condenser to allow for proper airflow.
- Clean Coils: We’ll clean the condenser coils to improve heat exchange and overall system performance.
- Check Condenser Fins: We’ll inspect and clean the condenser fins to ensure no damage or buildup that could impair efficiency.
Refrigerant Level Check
- Inspect Refrigerant Levels: We’ll check the refrigerant levels to ensure your system is properly charged.
- Recharge If Needed: If refrigerant levels are low, we’ll perform a recharge after identifying and fixing any leaks. (Additional costs may apply.)
Evaporator Coil & Drain Pan Inspection
- Inspect Evaporator Coil: We’ll check the evaporator coil for dirt buildup that could reduce cooling efficiency.
- Clean Coil: If needed, we’ll carefully clean the coil to improve system performance.
- Inspect & Clean Drain Pan: We’ll inspect the drain pan for any issues like rust or debris and clear it to prevent water damage.
Insulation Check
- Inspect Insulation: We’ll inspect the insulation around your refrigerant lines to ensure it’s intact and functioning properly.
System Test & Performance Evaluation
- Cooling Test: We’ll run your HVAC system to make sure it cools efficiently and evenly throughout your space.
- Listen for Unusual Noises: We’ll listen for any strange sounds and diagnose potential issues with the system.
- Airflow Check: Ask about our System Rebalance Services! At an additional cost, we can measure the airflow from your vents and adjust if necessary to ensure a strong and consistent flow.
Condensate Drain Line Flush
- Flush the Drain Line: We’ll flush warm water through the condensate drain to remove any algae or mold buildup and prevent clogs.
- Clear Any Blockages: We’ll ensure the line is clear and drains properly to avoid water damage.
Inspection of Moving Parts
- Inspect Fan Blades: We’ll check for any damage or buildup of dirt on the fan blades and clean them as needed.
- Check Belts: We’ll inspect the fan or blower belts for signs of wear and replace them if necessary.
System Efficiency Check
- Overall Performance Check: After performing all necessary maintenance, we’ll test your system to ensure it’s cooling efficiently.
- Energy Efficiency: We’ll ensure that your HVAC system is running at peak efficiency to help reduce energy bills.
Professional Recommendations & Next Steps
- Discuss Findings: After completing all tasks, we’ll review the service and any potential issues that need attention.
- Offer Recommendations: We’ll provide you with recommendations for any additional repairs or upgrades that may improve your system’s performance or efficiency.
